One suggestion has been to change some of the buses on the 54 Lawrence East bus route to operate over part of the 162 Lawrence-Donway route. Starting from the Lawrence Subway station, instead of Eglinton subway station, the re-routed 54 Lawrence buses would run east on Lawrence Avenue, north on Bayview Avenue to Post Road, turn east into Post Road, then south on Park Lane Circle to Glenorchy Road. They would then go south on Glenorchy Road to Suncrest, east on Suncrest to The Bridle Path and then north on The Bridle Path to Lawrence Avenue East. The buses would then turn east on Lawrence and continue on their usual route. The return trip to the Lawrence Subway station would follow the same route in reverse.
